Happy Holidays from SkyGrid!

I love everything about the holidays – holiday smells, holiday decorations, and even holiday lines at Target. SkyGrid headquarters is decorated to the max. It smells like fresh pine trees when you walk through the front door, and you can’t miss us, because our railing is the only lit railing in a half-mile radius (that I know of anyways).
This year, our team holiday dinner was at Scott’s Seafood in Palo Alto. The food was delicious, the music was cheery, and no friendships ended over the White Elephant gift exchange (or so we hope). We celebrated the end of a wonderful year, and toasted to 2011, a year in which we hope to continue to bring you cool products.

And… We’re LIVE on Android!

SkyGrid is now available for Android mobile devices. With more and more people on Android devices, we’re excited to be able to bring SkyGrid to our mobile users. We went live on Android just a few days ago, and so far we were featured in TechCrunch and landed a spot on the Android Market Featured section! Sweet!

We’re excited to announce the launch of @SkyGrid on Twitter!
For the first time, SkyGrid is making its popular sector news (Finance, Healthcare, and others) available to everyone on Twitter. For example, If you want the biggest breaking news on Healthcare, just follow @SkyGridHealth. Every business sector is available and you can follow only one sector, or get them all at once just by following @SkyGrid. SkyGrid on Twitter is like nothing else available, because it looks across the entire Internet and determines what news stories are spreading the fastest. As major events start to form, they’ll be sent right to your Twitter account in real-time.
Obviously this also makes SkyGrid on Twitter available through any mobile device – iPhone, Blackberry, or any web enabled phone. Just follow any SkyGrid sector on Twitter, and you’ll have breaking news delivered right to your phone.
Members who’ve been using SkyGrid on Twitter have said they’re happy with this new and easy way to get the most important news everyday. Please keep sharing your great ideas on new ways we can keep making members happy.

It’s been great to hear from SkyGrid members each week on how we can do things that’ll make SkyGrid even better. When you look at SkyGrid, about nine out of ten things you see are from you, our members. We’ve always been excited and grateful for how much the SkyGrid community has given to our product, and how this has helped other members. I think if you ask SkyGrid members about how they’ve shared their feedback, many will share how they’ve seen their ideas become part of SkyGrid.
Well, I’m happy to report that the last over the last two weeks we’ve seen some of the best feedback to date! Member suggestions have been rolling in by the hundreds each week. Aside from some great product suggestions, we’ve also been hearing about new SkyGrid addictions (watch out!) , an appreciation for our dedication to addressing each of our members’ ideas as quickly as possible, and a general sense of satisfaction with the product.
And whether it’s our real-time news streaming, clustering, or filtering you have questions or feedback on, we’d love to hear it all. We look forward to continuing the conversation, and doing all we can to keep making SkyGrid members happy every day.
