The new version also makes it easier than ever to just tap “follow” on any topics or sources you care about. Also, the overall look & feel is now clean and simple, to make following your interests more fun!
Thanks for the great first comments we’ve already received and we’re looking forward to hearing about what interests are your favorite to follow!

Groups Even More Social: Facebook + New Notices
May 13, 2011
Your groups are the most social yet with our brand new features that make it easier to connect with others who share your common interests.
Facebook connect. One-click sign in using your Facebook account. Now you and many more people can join the conversation. Not only that, but now if you’re on Twitter you can reply to someone on Facebook, and vice versa!
Facebook comments. Your comments in a group now post to your Facebook account to share with your friends.
More social notices. Now you know when someone replies to your comment, the group creator comments in a group you’re in, or a group you’re in becomes featured or popular.
A few new groups that launched taking advantage of these features include GagaDaily’s Judas group and Gaga on HBO group and Sum 41′s Vans Warped Tour group.

New Groups release – conversations come alive!
April 21, 2011
We just released some more new conversation features for you:
- Sort Conversations by Most Recent or Group Creator. This is the easiest way to see the newest conversations in the Groups you’re interested in, as well as to not miss your favorite artist’s comments.
- Easier Commenting – now from the top of the page or conversation section. Reply boxes are also now in each thread.
- Photos in Comments. Now everyone’s profile photo is next to every comment made. Your name and photo also link directly back to your Twitter profile.

Get into the conversation!

Whether someone wants to create conversations about tea in Chinese or cricket in Hindi, they can now easily bring together people from Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and more in any language. SkyGrid Groups now displays over 100 different languages, such as Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Arabic and Slovenian. The Yeizon Group from Korea is already taking advantage of this functionality.

Exciting New Social Features live on SkyGrid Groups!
April 12, 2011
It’s been great to hear all the feedback from everyone using Groups, and we’re very happy to announce some exciting new social features! We listened closely to what you suggested, and heard three things that almost everyone wanted.
- By far the leading request, was making it easier for you to communicate in the group – with the artist who created it, your friends, or other people who share your common interests.
- Making it quicker to know when you or your friends are part of a group.
- An updated design to make using Groups even more fun.
Well now the new social features give you all three of these things and let me share the most exciting parts of each new feature.
Conversations
When you visit groups now, you can comment and be part of the conversation with your own comments, as well as see comments from the public figure who created the group. Each time the group creator comments their comment has a special color to let you know it’s from them. For example below you can see 50 Cent’s first comment in his group about his new freestyle raps.

Also every time you comment it posts right back to your Twitter account so you don’t have to update twice. And you can retweet any comment you want to share.
Notices
|
|
You no longer have to go back each time, and check to see if you or your friends have been included in a group. Now email notices do the work for you. Any time you or your friends are included in a group, you receive a notice letting you know. |
New Design
Light. Clean. Simple. Thanks for all the kind comments you’ve already given us about the new design. Some of the best new design elements include the conversation stream, the light feel of photos & videos, and an overall simpler layout. In Pearl Jam’s groups about their re-issue albums Vs & Vitalogy, you can see people talking with other fans who are excited about getting the box set.

Groups Keep Growing
There’s already some great conversations going on with people responding to 50 cent’s post about his new freestyles, fans sharing their excitement for the new Pearl Jam re-issue albums Vs & Vitalogy, and even our first group from Korea today!
And as always, let us know @skygridteam, how you’re using Groups to connect with others who share your interests!
Cheers,
Kevin
SkyGrid is Growing…
March 30, 2011
We’re happy to announce that Brett Bouchard is now part of the SkyGrid team!

He’ll be leading the marketing team and will be calling Silicon Valley home. Before joining the SkyGrid team, Brett led marketing for Ancestry.com in Europe, and was the marketing director at AOL, being a key part of the growth of both companies.
Additionally, Brett spent time in Guinea-Bissau, with the Peace Corps and is a graduate of University of Virginia and received his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He loves to spend time with his wife and sons, whether it’s skiing, swimming, or playing sharks and minnows (and we’re hoping he’ll bring dog, Rika, to meet SkyGrid’s resident pooch, Peter Pan!)

We’re excited to have him on board in this exciting time of growth for us!
Cheers,
April
SkyGrid Groups is Live!
February 4, 2011
We just launched SkyGrid Groups yesterday, and already we’ve seen the happiness around fans being included in Groups, and RT’s from Groups they are excited to share. We love the enthusiasm, and are so anxious for everyone to spread the news about the Groups they’ve been a part of, or make closer connections to the artists they are passionate about.
Some artists that have started using SkyGrid Groups include Pearl Jam, 50 Cent, SUM 41, and Gaga Daily. We appreciate their support, and the love they show their fans. We hope SkyGrid Groups will be another way they can connect to their fans in a meaningful way.
Come back to see which other artists, brands, and public figures will use Groups to connect with their supporters in the upcoming days! And as always, send your feedback to feedback@skygrid.com, or drop us a line on twitter.com/skygridteam!

Happy Holidays from SkyGrid!
December 20, 2010
I love everything about the holidays – holiday smells, holiday decorations, and even holiday lines at Target. SkyGrid headquarters is decorated to the max. It smells like fresh pine trees when you walk through the front door, and you can’t miss us, because our railing is the only lit railing in a half-mile radius (that I know of anyways).
This year, our team holiday dinner was at Scott’s Seafood in Palo Alto. The food was delicious, the music was cheery, and no friendships ended over the White Elephant gift exchange (or so we hope). We celebrated the end of a wonderful year, and toasted to 2011, a year in which we hope to continue to bring you cool products.

I hope you enjoy the pictures! Thanks for all your support. Here’s to a happy holiday, and an even better New Year!
Cheers,
Sophia
